Be Inspired Have Fun Learn New Skills
Enjoy drawing in the beautiful Suffolk landscape with expert tuition. This weekly class is designed to help you see the world in a whole new way and gain a bank of skills for a lifetime’s sketching enjoyment! All experience levels are welcome.
Learn to develop and refine your observational and drawing skills while exploring a variety of readily accessible materials and techniques.
Tuesdays 10:00am - 12:30pm
Spring and Summer, weather permitting, meeting at Butley Mills Studios. If the weather is inclement we will bring the landscape indoors!
£15 per session.
THINGS TO BRING
A sketchbook and pencil!!
Other basic drawing materials are provided but you are welcome to bring your own favourites. Prepare for comfort with sun protection and sturdy footwear wear. Portable seating if you need it.

This weekly class is designed to enable you to be inspired, have fun and learn new skills. All experience levels are welcome.
During the 10-week course you will have the opportunity to create a work of your choosing suited to your experience.
Figurative or abstract, from sketch to sculpture, you will be encouraged to explore a variety of materials and techniques – armature making, modelling, moulding and casting your work … and much more.
You will be able to enjoy working within a small group at your own pace and develop your own artistic style with expert guidance.
Spring: Thursday 10:00am - 12:30pm - Jan 16 - Mar 26, 2020 (no class Feb 20)
Summer: Thursday 10.00am - 12.30pm - Apr 23 - Jul 2, 2020 (no class May 28)

Each 10-week course of 2 ½ hour classes costs £250. Gift vouchers are available.
THINGS TO BRING
Your ideas and enthusiasm!
There is a good stock of studio equipment for you to use, for example, modelling stands, boards and small tools.
If desired, consumables such as clay, plaster and armature materials can be purchased from the Studio. If you prefer you may bring your own. You may also wish to bring your favourite tools.
Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing you can work in.
Tea and coffee will be provided at the Studio.

YOUR COURSE TUTOR
A lifelong artist with a strong background in printmaking and drawing, Caro Burberry MRSS is a leading UK sculptor trained at The Frink School. Her sculptures, cast in bronze and iron, are commissioned and exhibited in permanent settings worldwide.
Recent commissions include Roots and Wings for Sculpture Trails Outdoor Museum, Indiana, USA and Adam and Eve for the University of Winchester, UK.
Caro regularly creates and pours her iron sculptures with her ‘cast iron family’, a network of expert foundry crew and artists from the USA and UK who assemble annually to create cast iron art.
Caro has led specialist creative workshops for over 25 years and worked as a guest lecturer at De Montfort University in Leicester.
